Job summary

Grant Thornton (US) is seeking a Finance Transformation Intern to help transform client finance operations, supporting process analysis, gap remediation, and change management initiatives. You’ll work with our team to design sustainable models that improve reporting, controls, and efficiency across clients.

You will collaborate from day one with Finance Transformation colleagues to deliver practical solutions, analyze data, and communicate recommendations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• Digital fluency using technology, data, and basic AI to enhance productivity.
• Experience in data analysis and interpreting financial datasets.
• Ability to analyze and improve financial planning, forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis.
• Understanding of Close-the-books, Chart-of-Accounts, Treasury, FP&A & Financial Benchmarking.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and work extra hours as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assess client finance operations to identify transformation opportunities.
• Support project teams toward long-term goals and priorities.
• Assist with analyzing client challenges and developing solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and support day-to-day project activities.
• Collaborate with Grant Thornton team to address questions, issues, and needs.
• Build relationships and deliver high-quality client service.
