Job summary

SoFi is seeking an Associate AI Engineer, Finance Transformation in San Francisco to build agentic AI workflows across close, reconciliations, forecasting, and reporting. You will stand up telemetry to measure AI usage, cost, and ROI in Finance and ensure outputs are explainable and auditable for decision‑making.

You will collaborate with the AI Transformation Manager and platform teams, advancing from prototype to production and following SoFi's AI SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience building with LLMs or strong new‑grad with hands‑on agent projects.
• Proficiency in Python for automation, API integration, and prototyping.
• Basic SQL for querying data with finance-grade rigor to be developed.

Responsibilities

• Build multi‑step AI workflows and agentic tools to automate Finance processes.
• Develop AI telemetry for usage, cost, ROI reporting across Finance AI tools.
• Contribute to the experience layer: design user interactions and feedback loops with AI systems.
• Validate AI outputs before informing Finance decisions.
• Prototype finance use cases and partner with SDLC to productionise.
• Develop finance domain fluency and SQL rigor in seat.
