Job summary

SoFi is seeking an Associate AI Engineer, Finance Transformation to build agentic AI workflows across Finance processes, from close to forecasting and reporting. You will stand up telemetry to measure AI usage, cost, and ROI, and ensure outputs are explainable and auditable for finance decisions.

You will collaborate with the AI Transformation Manager and finance-focused platform teams to move prototypes into production, with room for growth through SoFi's AI Engineering ladder.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/DS/AI/ML or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years building with LLMs or strong agent projects for new grads.
• Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent frameworks with a portfolio.
• Python for automation, API integration, and prototyping.
• Basic SQL for querying data with finance-grade rigor pending seat training.
• Willingness to learn Finance domain and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-step AI workflows on approved enterprise AI platforms; automate Finance processes.
• Own usage, cost, engagement, and ROI reporting across Finance AI tools; create dashboards.
• Help design how Finance users interact with AI systems; build trust and adoption.
• Apply and refine repeatable checks to validate AI outputs before informing decisions.
• Prototype prioritized use cases into working solutions; collaborate with SDLC and platform teams for production.
• Develop Finance domain fluency (close, reconciliation, reporting) and SQL rigor.
