We strongly encourage a host of diverse, intersectional populations and cultures to apply including, but not limited to, identities based on race, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, and veteran status.

The School of Business announces an opportunity to apply for a full-time tenure-track (Assistant Professor rank) or non-tenure-track (depending on the candidate’s qualification) faculty position in Finance to begin Fall 2025.

The successful candidate for the tenure track position will be responsible for effective teaching, research, service, and advising. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Primarily teaching Finance courses (e.g., Fundamental Financial Methods, Investments, Personal Financial Planning, Corporate Finance) at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels;
  • Secondarily, teaching experience and/or interest in Personal Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Retirement Planning, Insurance, and/or Fintech, with work towards a professional finance certification (e.g., CFP, CFA) a plus;
  • Conducting quality scholarly research that leads to publication in peer-reviewed journals;
  • Contributing service to the college community.

Applicants for the tenure track position must have an earned Ph.D. in Finance or a relevant discipline from an AACSB-international accredited (or equivalent) institution. ABDs will be considered only if the degree will be completed prior to the time of employment.

The successful candidate for the non-tenure track position will be responsible for effective teaching, service, and advising. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching Finance courses (e.g., Fundamental Financial Methods, Investments, Personal Financial Planning, Corporate Finance), at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels;
  • Teaching Personal Financial Planning, Wealth Management, Retirement Planning, Insurance, and/or Fintech, with a professional finance certification (e.g., CFP, CFA);
  • Contributing service to the college community.

Applicants for the non-tenure track position must have an earned Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Finance or a relevant discipline from an AACSB-international accredited (or equivalent) institution, as well as ten years or more of experience in related industries. Applicants with teaching experience will be given preference.

Candidates should be committed to further enhancing our collegial environment among all students and faculty demonstrated through culturally responsive course design and pedagogy, equity-minded student engagement and mentorship, and the development of intercultural competencies needed for meaningful citizenship.
