Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Finance Tech to support the Finance department in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities include analyzing general ledger accounts, daily cash balancing, month-end close, and fixed asset accounting.

Ideal candidates will have the required accounting/finance experience or the appropriate degree combination, with a strong attention to detail and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Experience in accounting/finance and month-end close processes.
• Knowledge of general ledger systems and accounts payable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze general ledger accounts and perform daily cash balancing.
• Prepare month-end close activities and audit schedules.
• Process accounts payable, sales tax filings, and fixed asset accounting.

Finance Tech - BMG: Position Summary

The Finance Tech supports the Finance department by performing a variety of accounting and financial functions. Responsibilities include analyzing general ledger accounts, daily cash balancing and reconciliations, month-end close activities, audit schedule preparation, accounts payable processing, sales tax filings, and fixed asset accounting. This role also maintains fixed asset subsidiary systems and reconciles them to the general ledger while providing additional financial support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, business, or a related field OR
• 2 years of related experience with an associate's degree OR
• Bachelor's Degree AND 1-year relevant experience

Status: Full Time
