Job summary

Continental Events in Michigan is seeking a Product Manager for Financial Systems to own the ERP, accounting platforms, and integrations. You will translate business strategy into roadmaps, define requirements, and drive improvements with Finance, IT, and Operations.

The role includes hands-on system administration, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring data integrity, auditability, and compliance. It offers a hybrid work setup across Sterling Heights and Troy with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent).
• 4–7+ years of experience in financial systems, business applications, or product management.
• Strong understanding of financial processes (GL, AP/AR, reporting, reconciliations).
• Experience with ERP systems or financial platforms (Sage preferred, Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, Dynamics).
• Experience with data/reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.).
• Experience supporting audits or compliance processes.
• Experience owning systems or products from intake through delivery and support.
• Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for backlog and delivery management.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with SaaS systems, integrations, and reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of financial systems (ERP, accounting, reporting, POS integrations).
• Define and execute product roadmaps aligned with Finance and business goals.
• Balance operational support, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
• Define KPIs and metrics for system performance, accuracy, and adoption.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations to understand workflows and pain points.
• Translate business requirements into user stories and configurations.
• Ensure data integrity, auditability, and compliance.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional coordination.
• Oversee testing, data validation, and post-release support.
• Liaise between Finance, IT, Operations and external vendors.
