Job summary

Morrison Foerster in Palo Alto is seeking a Financial Applications Administrator to join our Accounting & Finance Department. You will support end users, troubleshoot finance systems, and help manage Emburse Chrome River, Xcelerate Budgeting, Cosine Matter Planning, and Elite 3E.

This role partners with managers, attorneys, and staff to ensure excellent service. You will plan upgrades, deliver training, maintain data integrity, and coordinate with vendors.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience supporting legal financial systems.
• Chrome River administration experience preferred.
• Advanced SQL Server skills for data analysis, imports, and data management.
• Strong knowledge of financial applications, databases, systems analysis, and reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support and troubleshoot end‑user issues for finance systems.
• Perform QA by replicating, documenting, and escalating system issues.
• Manage vendor relationships to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
• Support month‑end close for the Finance Time & Billing system.
• Plan, test, and implement finance system upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Develop and deliver training to Finance end users and Super Users.
• Collaborate on rollout planning, testing, and vendor follow‑up.
• Identify process improvements to optimize system utilization.
