Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in the Bay Area seeks a Finance Cost Model Governance Analyst to manage financial model integrity, journal entries, and governance documentation. The role supports SAP finance modules and end-user training within a hybrid Oakland work model.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Finance and Controllers, process improvement, and ensuring data accuracy for governance standards. Eligibility includes a bachelor’s degree and related SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience including process improvement implementation, report maintenance and development, and product deployment.
• Two years in an SAP/Business Warehouse (BW) operations and maintenance support environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides ongoing operations and maintenance support for existing functionality in one or more of the Finance Modules of SAP.
• This includes month end close support, end user support, training material development and delivery and troubleshooting errors.
• Provides O&M support for all Finance applications.
• Identifies and supports implementation of process improvements.
• Conducts one-on-one or small team training.
• Supports deployment of new products.
• Creates and maintains reports.
• Designs, configures, tests, trains end users and supports deployment of new products.
• Manages end-to-end project tracking, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and status reporting to support timely completion.
• Administers and maintains financial models to ensure data accuracy, alignment with business requirements, and compliance with established governance standards.
• Develops, maintains, and updates team process documentation to promote consistency, knowledge transfer, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.
