Job summary

Canadian Solar is seeking a Finance Supervisor in Walnut Creek, CA to oversee daily accounting, closing processes, and financial reporting for the USCS entity. You will partner with sales, supply chain, and operations, ensuring robust internal controls and adherence to corporate policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with auditors, supporting tax filings, and driving process improvements while aligning with headquarters governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 5-8+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in multinational companies preferred.
• Familiarity with US accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing or renewable energy is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced international environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluent in English; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions including AP, AR, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, and expense accounting.
• Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing; review journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review periodic financial reports for management and Group Finance.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and service providers.
• Act as the primary finance contact for sales, supply chain, and operations.
• Support cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, and banking needs.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements in finance.
• Collaborate with HQ and regional teams on compliance and governance.
