Job summary

Inclusiv, located in New York City, seeks a strategic VP of Finance to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations for a leading nonprofit CDFI network. The role partners with senior leadership to ensure financial stewardship, invest in organizational sustainability, and drive process improvements across the finance function.

The position is hybrid (three days in-office, two remote) with a salary range of $165,000–$185,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in nonprofit financial management and compliance, including audits and Form 990 preparation.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting.
• Experience leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude in Excel) to enhance data analytics and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s annual operating budget and multi-year financial planning process.
• Develop revenue and expense forecasts, including membership dues, investment income, grants, and operating activities.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and provide timely variance analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance reporting.
• Present month end financials and actual-to-budget comparisons to the Board Finance Committee.
• Provide oversight of the Controller and finance staff to ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
