Job Description Summary

Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis. Impacts the quality of your own work and that of others on the team. Focused on executing standard enabling activities and providing advice within established policies and routines. There may be some flexibility to rearrange tasks based on changing priorities.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for general accounting and policy application & process administration for all cycles including inventory, revenue recognition, receivables/payables, intercompany, etc. Understand and interpret applicable Enterprise Standards, SOP, and Process Maps to deliver globally competitive financial processes and services.
• Expand knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures in your discipline to execute functional policy and strategy. Continue developing functional knowledge and skills.
• Develop a basic understanding of key business drivers and use this knowledge to accomplish your work. Understand how your team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall area.
• Have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolve issues that require good judgment and knowledge within established procedures. Consult with senior team members for issues outside of policy or parameters.
• Maintain good interpersonal skills. For customer-facing roles, build strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between the customer and GE. Explain technical information clearly to others.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle and PDF editing tools (preferably Nitro).
• Ability to deliver results with strong analytical, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Adopt a continuous improvement and problem-solving mindset through application of Lean tools.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
