About the Role

As a Financial Operations & Budget Specialist, you will serve as a key financial partner within a dynamic marketing organization. Your mission: ensure smooth execution of budget planning, financial reporting, purchase order management, accrual processing, vendor onboarding, and fiscal year transitions.

You'll collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, finance, and vendor teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Budget Management & Reporting
• Own and update budget pacing reports
• Collaborate with marketing leads to align spend plans with targets
• Purchase Order Operations
• Manage full PO lifecycle: creation, extension, fiscal alignment
• Coordinate with procurement/finance to meet deadlines
• Support new vendor onboarding and ensure proper PO routing
• Accruals & Reconciliation
• Lead monthly and quarterly accruals, resolve discrepancies with AP
• Fiscal Year Planning
• Set up internal orders (IOs) and cost centers for new fiscal cycles
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with stakeholders to track, report, and manage financials

What Makes You a Great Fit

5–7 years of experience in financial operations, budgeting, and PO management

Familiarity with financial tools and systems used in large enterprises

Experience navigating procurement platforms (e.g., MyOrder, MSInvoice)

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail with a passion for accuracy

Comfortable working remotely and independently

Able to manage high volumes of data and meet tight deadlines

• Financial systems experience (e.g., Mercury or similar enterprise tools)
• Proficiency in tracking budget shifts and accrual processes
• Understanding of marketing finance operations
• Past experience in large, matrixed organizations is a plus
