Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is hiring a Sous Chef to assist the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring quality, sanitation and timely service. You will coordinate meal preparation, supervise staff, and uphold company standards in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have culinary training, 1–3 years of experience in food preparation, and a ServSafe certification. Full-time role with benefits and opportunities for growth within Brookdale Senior Living.

Qualifications

• One to three years food preparation experience to include sauces, soups, meat and seafood.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of banquet production and planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the chef with overseeing the day to day operation of the kitchen and maintaining high quality food products and service.
• Prepares and coordinates daily meals per standardized recipes and oversees meal preparation for quality assurance, presentation and portion control.
• Obtain and hold any local or state required food handling/supervision/sanitation licenses and/or certifications.
