Job summary

Lifepoint Health is expanding its Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Finance Site Liaison team to support the Scion Health integration across hospitals. You will partner with hospital leadership and cross-functional finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and a smooth transition during the integration.

This role emphasizes collaboration, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage end-to-end close and budgeting activities for assigned facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5-7 years in healthcare financial operations or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner and point of contact for assigned hospital facilities, connecting facility leadership with Lifepoint Business Services (LBS) Finance teams.
• Support the Scion Health financial integration project, including data validation, reconciliation reviews, journal entry analysis, process testing, and preparation for the transition to Oracle.
• Review and validate financial information, including trial balances, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues before integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, accounting leadership, and hospital stakeholders to support integration milestones, resolve issues, and ensure a successful transition.
• Coordinate the end-to-end general ledger month-end close process for assigned facilities, ensuring timely completion of close checklists, reconciliations, financial reporting, and post-close analysis.
• Analyze financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with hospital CFOs and operational leadership to provide financial reporting and analysis for monthly operating reviews.
• Coordinate with specialized LBS Finance teams to address complex accounting matters and ensure financial accuracy.
• Support annual budgeting, financial projections, and variance explanations for facilities.
• Monitor controls, identify risks, and coordinate timely resolution across departments.
• Support joint venture accounting, reporting, and distributions as applicable.
• Assist with regulatory reporting, audits, and tax-related information.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Maintain relationships with facility leadership through clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
