Lifepoint Health® seeks an experienced healthcare finance leader to drive complex hospital accounting processes and financial reporting. This role focuses on leading the close for large hospital operations, partnering with facility leadership, and advancing process improvements across the Lifepoint Business Services team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive healthcare finance/accounting experience, including hospital-based leadership.
• Experience supporting multi-facility healthcare systems or large hospital operations.
• Ability to work independently in a high-visibility environment with minimal onboarding and oversight.
• Proven ability to partner with hospital CEOs, COOs and operational leaders to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manages end-to-end general ledger close for designated sites and entities.
• Supports accounting standardization initiatives and process improvements.
• Performs P&L and balance sheet analysis with variance explanations.
• Collaborates with hospital leadership for post-close analysis and reporting.
• Serves as primary accounting liaison during close for assigned facilities.
• Interacts with Technical Accounting and operations leaders on complex treatments.
• Oversees joint venture accounting, reporting, and distributions.
• Supports annual budgeting with accuracy and alignment to goals.
• Ensures internal controls safeguard assets and accounting integrity.
• Leads post-close review and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual variance explanations for GL accounts.
• Interfaces with external stakeholders for required financial reports.
