Job summary

Certara USA, Inc. seeks a Manager, Financial Reporting to balance quarterly/annual SEC filings with ongoing internal management reporting, supporting board decks, monthly financial packages, and KPI reporting across the business.

You will work with Accounting, FP&A, SEC reporting, and BU finance leaders to translate financial results into decision-ready narratives while ensuring SOX controls and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; exposure to XBRL is a plus.
• Experience building internal management reporting, board materials, or KPI dashboards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate numbers into clear narratives for non-finance audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across quarterly close and monthly reporting cycles.

Responsibilities

• SEC & External Reporting: Provide support schedules for and review the Company's periodic SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy materials), including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
• Coordinate the quarterly and annual close and reporting timeline with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and external auditors to ensure filings are accurate and on schedule.
• Monitor emerging SEC and FASB guidance, assess impact on Certara's reporting, and help implement process to support new disclosure requirements.
• Support the external audit process, including responding to auditor requests and resolving open items.
