Job summary

Young Automotive Group is hiring a Remits Clerk to join our finance team in a detail-oriented, organized capacity. You will monitor remittance schedules, reconcile accounts, and post payments and rebates while researching discrepancies in a fast-paced dealership setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education. Proficiency in Excel and accounting principles is preferred, with dealership experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and Excel.
• Dealership accounting or automotive industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze information, identify discrepancies, and resolve problems.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Previous courier experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and submit factory rebates and manufacturer incentives for payment.
• Monitor rebate, incentive, and remittance schedules.
• Research and resolve unpaid items and account discrepancies.
• Process contract cancellations, including GAP and Extended Service Contracts.
• Post and process contract payments.
• Post manufacturer rebate and incentive memos.
• Prepare account analysis and assist with financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure established processes are followed.
• Assist with special projects and other finance department needs.
• Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Work a flexible schedule when needed during month-end closing.
