Job summary

Latent is hiring a Finance & Business Operations Manager to own the systems that keep the company running—books, billing, spend, insurance, payroll and expense operations. You will work hands-on with QuickBooks Online, Brex, and Rippling, designing policies and processes with our strategic finance function.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in accounting operations, finance operations, or startup G&A.
• Hands-on ownership of QuickBooks Online or a comparable general ledger—not just reviewing someone else's work.
• Direct experience running accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense workflows.
• Familiarity with corporate card and spend platforms (Brex, Ramp, or similar) and HR/payroll systems (Rippling, Gusto, Justworks, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online, including categorization and reconciliations.
• Run or support month-end close, including accruals and prepaids.
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records and reporting.
• Coordinate with external accounting, bookkeeping, and tax partners.
• Own customer invoicing end-to-end, including recurring/billing.
• Track receivables and manage collections; resolve billing questions.
• Administer Brex: card issuance, spend limits, and approvals.
• Review vendor bills and manage payments; ensure proper coding.
• Support payroll processing in Rippling and GL mapping.
• Maintain employee records and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
• Own insurance renewals and certificate requests.
• Document policies, thresholds, and operating procedures.
