Job summary

The St. John-St. Paul Collaborative, serving two parishes and Saint John School in Wellesley, MA, seeks a Director of Finance and Operations (DF&O) to lead financial management, property oversight, and human resources.

This full-time on-site role reports to the Pastor and supports the parishes’ mission through prudent stewardship and strategic operations. Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, audit preparation, tuition management in FACTS, payroll, vendor management, and staff

Qualifications

• Catholic in good standing
• BA/BS in business or accounting
• MBA or CPA preferred
• 3–5 years supervisory/management experience
• Experience with finance, accounting, and tuition management; Intacct and FACTS experience preferred
• Knowledgeable of HR issues including policies, recruitment, benefits, and laws
• Payroll administration experience; Paylocity a plus
• Knowledgeable of parish policies and Archdiocesan policies
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong service orientation and understanding of mission

Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Develop, implement, and administer policies; prepare budgets and reports; oversee financial records; monitor budgets and report to leadership.
• Property Management: Provide financial oversight for construction projects; coordinate with Archdiocese Property Department; manage leases; liaise with property/risk departments.
• Human Resources: Recruit and form teams; serve as VIRTUS Facilitator; onboard employees and manage payroll and benefits; liaison with HR and Payroll.
• General: Other duties as assigned.
