Job summary

Murmuration is seeking a Sr. Finance Operations Manager to own daily financial operations, AR/revenue reconciliations, and tax compliance.

You will partner with the Director of Finance & Accounting to ensure accurate close, robust FP&A support, and timely reporting for leadership across the organization. The role blends hands-on accounting with analytics, reporting, and process improvement, offering growth within a mission-driven nonprofit landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience with independent ownership of FP&A processes.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with financial modeling and complex reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) and financial planning tools (Vena or similar).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Own AR, revenue, and deferred revenue reconciliations end-to-end, including monthly reconcilations and variance investigations.
• Prepare and issue customer and partner billings; monitor collections to ensure timely collection.
• Support month-end close with journal entries and close checklists; coordinate with Accountant.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate discrepancies independently.
• Review sales/use tax calculations and filings; maintain supporting documentation.
