Job summary

St. John-St. Paul Collaborative in Wellesley, MA seeks a Director of Finance and Operations (FT) to lead financial management, property management, and human resources for two parishes and a school.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in business or accounting with 7+ years of experience, MBA or CPA preferred, and proven leadership. Experience with Intacct and FACTS, Paylocity payroll, and Archdiocesan policies is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in business, accounting, or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience handling confidential, sensitive matters with good judgement.
• Experience in finance, accounting, and tuition management; Intacct and FACTS experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HR issues including policies, recruitment, benefits, and laws.
• Experience administering payroll; Paylocity experience a plus.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong service orientation.
• Must be a Catholic in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management for parish and school, including budgets and audits.
• Develop parish and school operating budgets and report to Pastor and councils.
• Audit preparation and record oversight for parish and school.
• Coordinate tuition management and financial aid in FACTS.
• Provide HR support, onboarding, payroll administration, and benefits policies.
• Supervise Business Manager, Facilities/Property Manager, IT/Communications Director.
• Engage in offertory, fundraising, stewardship, and annual Catholic Appeal activities.
• Collaborate with Archdiocese Property and Risk Management departments.
