Job summary

Antares in Torrance, CA is seeking a Business Operations & Finance Intern to support accounts payable, transactional work, and reporting while identifying automation opportunities with AI and APIs.

You will partner with the Business Operations Lead on projects ranging from improving workflows to building lightweight tools that scale processes for a rapidly growing defense and energy company.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, entering Junior or Senior year.
• Prior internship or >1 year project/team experience.
• Experience building automations or internal tools.
• Experience using Python or scripting.
• GPA 3.5+ or higher preferred.
• Leadership in a University club or org preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work cross‑departmentally and manage multiple projects.
• Able to take initiative and work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable processes and recurring finance transactions.
• Develop automation solutions to reduce manual workflows.
• Build lightweight internal tools and automations using APIs and scripting.
• Improve data flow between systems to cut manual data entry.
• Create automated reporting and dashboards for operational priorities.
• Enhance AI and knowledge‑management workflows across teams.
• Support ongoing implementation of CRM and contract workflows.
• Contribute to ad hoc business ops and finance projects as needed.
• Collaborate with the Business Operations Lead to identify bottlenecks and drive solutions.
