Job summary

The Diocese of Manchester is seeking an organized Assistant Controller to support the Finance Office in Manchester, NH. This full-time role partners with the Controller and Finance staff to maintain accurate financial reporting, manage fund accounts, and coordinate audits.

Key duties include month-end closings, journal entries, cash/bank reconciliations, and budgeting assistance, with extensive use of Blackbaud Financial Edge and Raiser's Edge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform monthly recordkeeping and reporting for accounts in the Pooled Investment Fund, including reconciliation to Investment Manager statements.
• Oversee recordkeeping, reconciling, and disbursements of special collection funds on behalf of the diocese.
• Assist in year-end closings and preparation of financial statements for audit.
• Work with external auditors on annual fiscal audits and regulatory filings.
• Maintain general ledger and fund accounts in Blackbaud Financial Edge and Raiser's Edge; manage user access and security.
