Job summary

Apex Fintech Solutions (Apex) is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the Finance Operations & Consolidations team. You will own the quarterly analytics calendar, prepare variance analyses, and assist with eliminations and allocation journal entries as part of the consolidation close.

This role offers exposure to ERP systems like NetSuite and close-management tools such as FloQast, along with opportunities to drive process improvements and AI-enabled automation across the close process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience; internship or co-op considered for less-experienced candidates.
• Working knowledge of journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and basic consolidation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Calendar Ownership: Own and manage the FQ calendar, including deadlines for monthly flux commentary and quarterly variance analysis submissions.
• Variance Reporting: Prepare and compile variance/flux analysis reporting used in the quarterly analytic review process for internal and external auditors.
• Operations Calendar: Implement and maintain a FQ Operations calendar covering non-close items, including audit requests and regulatory deliverables.
• Systems Projects: Assist with FQ and NetSuite-related projects, including enhancements, testing, and reporting improvements.
• FloQast Support: Support day-to-day use of FloQast, including task setup and reconciliation, and streamline close tasks.
• Journal Entries: Prepare eliminations and allocations journal entries as part of the monthly/quarterly close.
• Stakeholder Support: Respond to ad hoc requests from Finance leadership and auditors.
• AI Champion: Identify, test, and roll out AI and automation tools to reduce manual close effort.
• Special Projects: Support AI and efficiency project work as assigned.
