ManpowerGroup's client in the automotive and manufacturing industry seeks a Finance Operations Analyst to support program financial governance, cost estimation, and budget management. The role requires strong analytical and communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams in engineering and procurement.

Location is Foster City, CA, onsite; pay is $60-$65 per hour plus benefits. Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years FP&A experience and solid Excel/Sheets modeling capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years FP&A, financial analysis, or cost accounting experience.
• Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for budgets, baselines, and should-cost analyses.
• Track actuals vs forecast; prepare variance analyses and leadership narratives.
• Support monthly/quarterly close activities for program cost tracking, accruals and reconciliations.
• Reconcile vendor invoices and POs against budgets; flag discrepancies for program reviews.

Our client, a leader in the automotive and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Finance Operations Analyst to join their team. As a Finance Operations Analyst, you will be part of the Operations department supporting program financial governance, cost estimation, and budget management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Finance Operations Analyst

Location: Foster City, CA (Fully Onsite)

Pay Range: $60-$65/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Build and maintain financial models supporting program budgets, cost baselines, and should-cost analysis
• Track actuals versus forecast across program spend; prepare variance analysis and clear narratives for leadership
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities related to program cost tracking, including accruals and invoice reconciliation
• Reconcile vendor invoices and purchase orders against budgets, flag discrepancies before program reviews
• Partner with cross-functional teams to validate cost estimates and assess financial impacts of design or sourcing changes

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or cost accounting roles
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel or Sheets, including variance analysis and scenario modeling
• Experience working with cross-functional teams outside of finance, such as engineering and procurement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating financial data into clear narratives
