The Finance Manager will own and manage the integrity and timely provision of financial information to the business and Group HQ in the UK. As a key member of the B&H team, this role will drive a full range of activities including month-end, annual budgeting, operational and business analysis, year-end audit, and ad hoc projects defined by the business.

Location: Miami, with regular travel in region
Key Role Accountabilities
Statutory Reporting
- Prepare statutory accounts for US entities.
- Oversee audit preparation, visit and successful closure.
Management Accounting
- Create monthly accounts to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
- Prepare management report pack for the US senior management team.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
- Produce flash sales, cash management and working capital reports.
Taxation and Regulation
- Review Corporation tax computations.
- Produce and submit local Tax returns.
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
Treasury Management
- Keep the cash flow forecast up to date as and when new information presents itself.
- Produce a cash flow forecast on a weekly basis and present it to local management.
- Ensure that the operating businesses have appropriate cash and purchasing controls in place.
Controls and Procedures
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensure that all prices are accurately recorded and detailed uniformly to ensure that appropriate margins are being maintained
- To ensure sales analysis can be compared like for like.
- From time to time, re-underline the company’s policies to the operating businesses.
Systems
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
- Seek to use technology where possible to maximise efficiencies.
- Ensure the maintenance and development of supplier relations and actively participate in the negotiation of rates with key suppliers.
Other
- Work with US senior management team to drive employee engagement, lead and inspire team members and advocate team cohesion.
Your Experience
- Extensive finance management experience, ideally within a fast-paced international logistics, freight forwarding, or aerospace environment.
- Proven ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and provide commercial insight to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Commercially astute with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise and perform effectively under pressure in a changing environment.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems and IT; CargoWise experience desirable but not essential.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent experience, with a sound understanding of accounting practices.
- Dynamic, ambitious, and collaborative leader, able to operate effectively at both strategic and day-to-day levels.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
