Job summary

Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. is seeking a Manager Finance to lead FP&A activities supporting Venue Operations, Food & Beverage, and Merchandise for its theaters.

You will prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting, partnering with operations to explain variances and drive performance. The role requires 5 years in Finance/Accounting with strong analytical and system skills (Excel, Tableau, Oracle GL/Hyperion).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA a plus.
• 5 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting/Strategy with budgeting/forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills and accuracy in reporting.
• Experience with union/part-time labor, rent, taxes, utilities, and maintenance costs.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Oracle GL and Oracle Planning (Hyperion).
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, monthly forecasts, and business reviews for Venue Ops, F&B, and Merchandise across all theaters.
• Prepare and present month-end packages with variance analysis to department heads and GM.
• Distribute reports for Food, Beverage and Merchandise including post-event analyses and ROI.
• Track and analyze monthly expenses: labor, utilities, taxes, licenses, and capex.
• Support Month End Close with P&L reviews and variance investigations.
• Analyze Data Warehouse data for Food & Merchandise and assist POS system integrations.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations and collaborate across units; review PO codes and answer finance questions.
• Ensure guest experience standards are met while on-site.
