Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a finance professional to provide financial expertise, business support, and oversight for a designated area, guiding management on financial decisions and developing forecasts and budgets.

You will partner with business teams to deliver value, identify risks and opportunities, and lead cross-functional collaboration. This role also involves coaching staff and driving strategic initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in analytical roles in finance, accounting, business management, quantitative analysis or economics.
• 2+ years identifying operational issues and implementing resolutions.
• 2+ years applying analytics principles (Statistics, Mathematics, OR, Finance).
• 2+ years project management experience.
• Experience as the financial liaison on a business team.
• 1+ year of direct leadership, indirect leadership or cross-functional leadership.
• Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

• Partner with management to understand key business drivers, processes and priorities.
• Collaborate with management and support teams to deliver value and results.
• Develop cross-functional team approach, providing financial management support across the business.
• Lead preparation of forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Perform variance analyses and prepare budget/forecast documentation.
• Address issues with teams to develop action plans and improve processes.
• Support monthly reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Identify and analyze investments and build business cases.
• Directly manages team members and oversees cross-functional work.
• Participate in medium-term and strategic planning for the area.
