Job summary

Stratton Mountain Resort, part of Alterra, is seeking a Finance Manager who will lead financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting for the resort. The role partners with resort leadership to support strategic decisions and capital planning.

This is a full-time, year-round position. The annual compensation ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience, with eligibility for benefits and career growth within Alterra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
• Experience leading budgeting and forecasting in a multi-department environment.
• Experience in hospitality, resort operations, tourism, retail, or other seasonal business environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual operating and capital budgeting processes in partnership with department leaders.
• Manage monthly forecasting and analyze financial performance.
• Prepare financial reports and variance analyses to support decision-making.
• Evaluate strategic initiatives, capital projects, and ROI analysis.
• Conduct post-investment reviews to assess performance and inform planning.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting tools, systems, and processes.
• Partner with leadership, department heads, and Corporate Development to provide financial guidance.
• Additional duties as assigned.
