Finance Manager - Revenue & ACV Finance team

About The Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 12

The Team: The S&P Global Market Intelligence Finance team includes employees in the UK, US, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The Revenue and ACV team is based in London, New York, Charlottesville, Las Vegas, and Manila. The team collaborates with other divisions and S&P Global Corporate.

The Impact: This position ensures timely and accurate delivery of monthly Revenue and ACV reporting and analysis to support management decision-making. It involves leading integration with the ACV workstream, leveraging technology to automate analyses, and enabling the team to focus more on business insights.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Revenue reporting workstream.
  • Implement review controls and procedures for Revenue reporting.
  • Manage monthly close activities related to Revenue journal entries and reporting.
  • Coordinate between Revenue, ACV, and COS workstreams.
  • Transform work processes using technologies like Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI to reduce manual Excel-based tasks.
  • Support business unit reporting needs and develop understanding of critical financial systems.
  • Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and projects, supporting the Finance Director.
  • Respond accurately to inquiries from senior management and business leads.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to inform management decisions.
  • Identify and suggest solutions for reporting or operational issues.
Compensation/Benefits (US candidates):

Base salary ranges from $102,387 to $176,946, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional benefits. More details are available here.

What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing revenue contracts and understanding subscription revenue models.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls and process flows.
  • Confident engagement with C-level executives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Oracle ERP, EPM, Salesforce, Tableau/Power BI, Alteryx.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, ability to work independently and in a team.
