You will oversee payroll with a third-party provider, prepare monthly P&L and cash flow, build job costing for projects, monitor cash and help with audits, aiming to scale the finance function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping, ideally in multi-entity or service businesses.
• Solid accrual accounting and GAAP knowledge.
• Strong QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and Excel skills; familiarity with Bill.com and Gusto.
• Job costing experience in construction, trades or services is preferred.
• Meticulous and proactive; able to explain findings to non-finance staff.
• Independent, well organized, trustworthy and discreet with sensitive information.

Responsabilités

• Run the books for multiple entities in QuickBooks and reconcile accounts monthly.
• Process AP/AR, maintain chart of accounts, and file sales/use/local taxes.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow with variance commentary.
• Develop job-costing and profitability reports by project divisions.
• Monitor daily cash, forecast needs, and flag shortfalls early.
• Stay audit-ready with quarterly/year-end packages and internal controls.
• Improve processes using QuickBooks, Bill.com and Gusto integration.
• Advise ownership on pricing, expense trends and ROI for financing conversations.
