Job Summary

The Finance Manager supports financial analysis and financial management for the College of Law. This role provides guidance in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance. The Finance Manager works to support the integrity of financial operations and works closely with the Associate Dean for Operations to align financial resources with institutional priorities.

• Supports the development, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of budget for the College of Law across all funding sources. Provides insights and recommendations to college leadership to support institutional goals and financial sustainability.
• Utilizes PeopleSoft Financials to conduct financial analysis, including running and interpreting nVision reports and queries. Leverages system tools to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budget reconciliation.
• Ensures the integrity of all College of Law funds, implementing and/or monitoring controls, reviews fund balances across areas, and notifies leadership of any areas of concern.
• Prepares quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reports for the College of Law. Analyzes trends, identifies variances, and communicates findings to the Associate Dean to inform strategic decisions.
• Compiles financial information and reports necessary for university constituents, such as annual budgets and variance analysis, and external constituents, such as for accreditation and rankings.
• Serves as the merchant account's primary contact. Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit.
• Assists all departments in the College of Law in understanding and managing their department budget.
• Provides oversight and guidance on procurement processes and financial operations for the College.
• Provides recommendations to the Associate Dean on budgetary issues and financial policies. Applies University, departmental and other approved policy and procedures to area of responsibility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related discipline and four (4) years of experience in associated discipline or Master's degree and two (2) years of experience in related field.
