Job summary

Freudenberg Group in the United States seeks a senior accounting leader to drive the monthly General Ledger close for multiple U.S. entities and to partner with regional leaders on finance transformation initiatives.

The role requires extensive GL expertise, ERP experience (SAP/AS400), and the ability to manage a team while ensuring accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including month-end close.
• Experience managing activities for multiple legal entities in a manufacturing or multinational environment.
• Hands-on ERP experience with SAP, AS400, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting and audits.

• Lead the monthly General Ledger close process for multiple U.S. legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Partner with regional leadership to drive finance transformation initiatives, including process harmonization, automation, and system improvements.
• Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and new business or project launches across the region.
• Manage and oversee month-end close activities within AS400, and SAP environments.
• Coordinate regional Finance and Accounting projects, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives.
• Lead the accounting team providing guidance and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit activities, including year-end reporting requirements.
• Maintain and improve reporting processes to support operational and financial decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and enhance financial reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; CPA designation preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant General Ledger and month-end close responsibilities.
• Experience managing accounting activities for multiple legal entities within a manufacturing or multinational environment preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, or similar financial platforms.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support.
• Ability to lead an accounting team providing guidance and motivation to achieve results in a fast paced collaborative environment
