Qualifications

• Familiarity with the Roanoke market and local finance landscape.
• Experience translating Tax Preparation complexity for a non-technical audience.
• Knowledge of VA-specific regulations relevant to finance work.
• Willingness to commute to Roanoke, VA or work flexibly as needed.
• Strong multitasking ability without sacrificing quality.

Responsibilities

• Forecast headcount costs and partner with HR on compensation planning.
• Surface the three expense lines quietly eating the finance margin.
• Walk auditors through documentation so clean it answers itself.
• Forecast working capital tight enough to avoid a feedback-driven cash crunch.
• Review contracts and invoices for accuracy before payment release.
• Lean on Financial Reporting and Cost Accounting to automate what used to be manual.
• Turn a sprawling spreadsheet into a controlled, auditable workbook.
• Settle expense reports fast enough that nobody chases you twice.
