Synergy Search is seeking a hands-on, individual-contributor finance professional to own the company’s core financial models end-to-end. You’ll work day-to-day with the founder and operating leadership, report to senior finance, and run recurring finance reviews for leadership.

Responsibilities include building forecasting models in Excel for revenue, cost, and cash, and developing a recurring-revenue model to guide pricing decisions; you’ll consolidate inputs monthly and explain deviations.

Competenze

• 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in consumer/ecommerce.
• Hands-on Excel modeling to build forecasting and scenario tools from scratch.
• Experience with repeat/subscription revenue, retention, churn, and lifetime value.
• Understanding inventory- and COGS-based cost structures.
• Prefers building the models directly over managing a team.

Privately held, founder-involved consumer products company with an established direct-to-consumer brand and a growing recurring-revenue business line. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor finance role where one person owns the company's core financial models end-to-end instead of managing a team that builds them. You'll work day-to-day with the founder and operating leadership, report into senior finance, and run a recurring finance review for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build the company's forecasting models in Excel, covering revenue, cost, and cash, driven by actual business activity rather than prior-year trends
• Develop a model for the recurring-revenue line that captures customer retention, cancellation behavior, and long-term customer value, and use it to guide pricing decisions
• Consolidate input from commercial and operating teams into a monthly forecast, and explain what's driving deviations from plan
• Model profitability by product and channel to evaluate new offers and promotional pricing
• Maintain a short-term cash outlook and manage the banking/lending relationship, including required compliance reporting
• Vet purchasing and inventory commitments against available budget and cash
• Lead a recurring finance review with leadership
• Support the accounting team through month-end close, the external audit, and buyer diligence tied to the pending transaction

Requirements

• Roughly 5+ years of finance experience; time at a consumer or ecommerce company is a plus
• Strong, hands-on Excel modeling ability, comfortable building forecasting and scenario tools from a blank workbook rather than maintaining existing templates
• Background modeling repeat or subscription revenue, retention, churn, lifetime value, ideally for a physical product rather than software
• Understands inventory- and COGS-based cost structures
• Prefers building the models directly over managing a team that does
