Complyance is hiring a Finance & Ops Manager to own bookkeeping, month-end close, and management accounts across UK and US entities. You’ll streamline back-office finance, liaise with external accountants, and help shape budgeting, cash flow, and intercompany processes.

You’ll work in a startup environment with multi-currency operations, collaborating with audit and tax advisors. A strong foundation in UK GAAP and US tax is essential, with ACCA/CIMA studies a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 2–4+ years in finance/accounting, preferably at a startup.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
• Working knowledge of US tax and compliance (sales tax, payroll tax, filings).
• Experience with accounting software (Xero, NetSuite).
• Excellent Excel skills; comfortable with multiple currencies and entities.
• Part-qualified or studying ACCA/AAT/CIMA is a plus, not required.

The Role

We're hiring a Finance & Ops Manager to support our finance function as we scale, reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Operations. This is a heavily finance-weighted role - owning bookkeeping and month-end as we scale. You'll also help streamline our operational infrastructure and processes as we grow.

What You'll Do:

Finance

• Own bookkeeping and transaction processing across UK and US entities
• Own month-end close (journals, accruals, reconciliations), liaising closely with external accountants
• Prepare management accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102)
• Liaise with external accountants/auditors on statutory accounts
• Apply US tax knowledge (sales tax/nexus, payroll tax) and liaise with US advisors on federal/state filings
• Manage AP/AR, invoicing, and expenses
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
• Handle intercompany reconciliations
• Support R&D tax credit claims and VAT returns
• Process vendor/contractor payments across multiple currencies

Operations

• Streamline finance and back-office processes as we scale
• Evaluate and administer finance/ops tools
• Manage vendor contracts and renewals
• Maintain internal process documentation
• Support entity structuring and infrastructure projects as we grow

What We're Looking For

• 2-4+ years in finance/accounting, ideally at a startup environment
• Solid knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
• Working knowledge of US tax and compliance (sales tax, payroll tax, federal/state filings)
• Experience with accounting software (Xero, NetSuite)
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable across multiple currencies and entities
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
• Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/AAT/CIMA a plus, not required
