The Opportunity

We’re partnering with an organization that is looking to add a Finance Manager to its Tampa-based team and bring greater ownership to several key finance, accounting, FP&A, and compliance functions.

This person will take a significant portion of the finance and accounting workload off leadership’s plate while providing greater structure, accountability, and consistency across financial planning, reporting, compliance, tax coordination, and audit-related activities.

This is a hands‑on role for someone with a strong finance and accounting foundation who can take ownership of both ongoing financial responsibilities and broader planning and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving between accounting and FP&A, managing compliance requirements, coordinating with external accounting partners, and providing leadership with the financial information needed to make informed business decisions.

What You’ll Do

Accounting, Tax & Compliance

• Take ownership of required state filings and ensure all applicable deadlines and reporting requirements are met
• Coordinate tax filings and related requirements in partnership with the company’s external accounting/tax firm
• Take over responsibility for compliance training and related processes
• Maintain accurate financial and compliance documentation and ensure requirements are consistently followed
• Monitor compliance-related deadlines and proactively address issues or gaps
• Serve as an internal resource for finance, accounting, and compliance-related matters
• Lead and support annual budget planning and ongoing financial planning activities
• Prepare budget‑to‑actual reporting and conduct variance analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring attention
• Partner with leadership to understand financial performance and provide meaningful analysis and insight
• Support forecasting and financial modeling as the organization’s needs evolve
• Develop and maintain reporting that gives leadership greater visibility into financial performance
• Analyze financial results and help translate findings into actionable business insights
• Manage rebate payment reporting and ensure information is accurate, timely, and appropriately documented
• Review financial data and reporting for accuracy and completeness
• Identify discrepancies and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
• Establish consistent processes around financial and rebate reporting
• Provide leadership with clear, reliable financial information to support business decisions

Audit & External Partnerships

• Coordinate the annual audit process and serve as a key point of contact for auditors
• Gather financial records, supporting documentation, and other materials required for annual audits
• Work closely with the external accounting firm on tax filings, audit support, and other financial matters
• Ensure financial records and documentation are organized and audit‑ready
• Manage ongoing relationships and communication with external accounting and financial partners

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience
• Strong finance and accounting foundation with experience across both accounting and FP&A
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis
• Experience managing or supporting state filings, tax processes, and financial compliance
• Experience coordinating with external accounting and tax firms
• Familiarity with annual audit processes and working directly with auditors
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership, internal teams, and external partners
• Ability to take ownership of processes and operate independently in a hands‑on environment
