Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is seeking an Accounting/Finance leader in Las Vegas to serve as the primary liaison between financial shared services and property department heads. You will ensure SLAs are met and manage the accounting clerk team, with oversight of count and receiving/warehousing teams.

You will prepare monthly accruals, submit required Finance items under gaming regulations, and serve as the point of contact for audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; substantial related experience may substitute.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance in a comparable position.
• Excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills and demonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.
• Have initiative, stride for continuous improvement.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication with internal customers and ensure their requirements are met.
• Perform all functions with the highest level of integrity and observe safety procedures.

Job Description

Serves as the primary liaison between financial shared services and property department heads, ensuring property Service Level Agreements(SLAs) are being met by all departments.

• Responsible for reviewing the quality and accuracy of monthly financialstatements produced by financial shared services with key departmentheads and provides feedback to financial shared services; ensuresresolution of all comments provided to financial shared services resultingfrom monthly reviews.
• Manage accounting clerk team and daily interactions with financial sharedservices.
• Oversight responsibility of count team and receiving/warehousing team.
• Responsible for receiving services in Stratton Warren and preparingmonthly accrual for any non-PO services.
• Prepare and submit all Finance items required under gaming regulations oras requested by gaming regulators not prepared by financial sharedservices.
• Point of contact for gaming regulatory audits and provides informationrequested by gaming regulatory authorities.
• Ensure all regulatory, state specific and other notices received by propertyare communicated to financial shared services.
• Provides continuous coaching, mentoring and development to staff.
• Promote, develop and maintain effective communication, interaction, andexcellent relationship with internal customers, including ensuring theirrequirements are identified and consistently met.
• Perform all functions with the highest level of integrity.
• Observe and follow all safety procedures.
• Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an accounting or finance discipline preferred;substantial related experience may be substituted.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting/finance in acomparable position required.
• Must be experienced with various software applications such as MicrosoftOffice, Lawson, Stratton Warren, gaming-related systems, e-mail, etc.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/orlicenses as required by local gaming regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal and public presentation communication skills anddemonstrate ability to resolve all situations in a professional manner.
• Have initiative, stride for continuous improvement.
• Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented.
