Job summary

John Starz Electric is seeking a Finance Manager to lead daily accounting for residential and commercial work in the Jacksonville area. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting, using QuickBooks Online to maintain accurate records and timely responses to inquiries.

This role requires 3+ years in accounting/finance, experience with payroll and vendor billing, and the ability to prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience with payroll processing and employee financial records.
• Experience working with insurance vendors, payers, or insurance-related accounts preferred.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, invoicing, collections, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process payroll, including maintaining employee records and timesheets.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, approvals, and expense tracking.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, customer, vendor, and other financial accounts.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily accounting and financial activities using QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain accurate financial records, account reconciliations, and transaction entries.
• Manage accounts receivable, including customer invoicing, payments, outstanding balances, and follow-up on past-due accounts.
• Work directly with insurance vendors and payers regarding billing, payments, discrepancies, claims-related financial matters, and account resolution.
• Manage PNAR processes and maintain accurate records related to insurance and customer accounts.
• Coordinate and process payroll, including maintaining employee records, reviewing timesheets, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, approvals, payments, and expense tracking.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, customer, vendor, and other financial accounts.

What You'll Bring
