Job summary

Career Climbers in Irvine, CA is seeking a Finance Manager to drive portfolio performance, analytics, and strategic decision-making across a large institutional real estate platform. You will report to the VP of Finance and collaborate across Asset Management, Leasing, Portfolio Management, and Finance to translate activities into actionable insights.

The role emphasizes financial planning, forecasting, and executive reporting, with exposure to advanced analytics and AI-enabled technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, real estate finance, portfolio analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience analyzing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations.
  • Experience leveraging automation, analytics platforms, or AI-enabled tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis of property- and portfolio-level operating performance including revenue, occupancy, leasing activity, operating expenses, margins, and NOI.
  • Identify financial and operational trends, risks, and value-creation opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Asset Management, Leasing, Portfolio Management, and Finance to translate operating activity into actionable financial insights.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio reporting, dashboards, and KPIs that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Build sophisticated financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions and financing initiatives.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly results and prepare variance analysis, executive reporting, and management presentations.
  • Support enterprise-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting through analysis of portfolio performance and key business drivers.
  • Partner with Finance and Investor Relations on quarterly earnings preparation, including performance analysis, key messaging, variance explanations, supporting materials, and executive briefing materials.
  • Help drive improvements in financial reporting and analytics through automation, data integration, business intelligence, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to analysts and junior finance professionals, promoting analytical rigor and continuous improvement.

A tier-1, publicly traded real estate company is seeking a Finance Manager to play a key role on their Finance team. This role will be responsible for driving financial performance, portfolio analytics, and strategic decision-making across a large institutional real estate platform.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this position will work across operational finance, corporate finance, real estate, capital markets, advanced analytics, and emerging AI-enabled technologies.
