Job summary

Grant Morgan is representing a well-capitalized real estate investment fund management firm seeking a high-potential FP&A professional. This newly created role will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, reporting to the Managing Director on the Finance and Accounting team.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and have 4+ years of FP&A experience, with real estate exposure preferred.

Qualifications

  • Advanced financial modeling, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with large datasets; Power BI is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to stakeholders.
  • High integrity and ethics; compliant with standards.

Our client a highly successful, well-capitalized real estate investment fund management firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., in their search for a bright, high-potential Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional. This organization makes equity and debt investments in commercial real estate located throughout the United States and owns a portfolio of over $10B in AUM. Position:

This newly created position will report directly to the Managing Director on the Finance and Accounting team, who will provide excellent guidance and mentorship. The FP&A role will play a critical role in shaping and coordinating the financial strategy by providing financial planning and analytical support. This person will work with senior management and business leaders to prepare financial planning, analysis, and reporting materials, support budgeting and forecasting processes, maintain financial models, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant FP&A experience, reporting or similar finance role preferably with a complex, high-growth company. Real estate experience preferred.
  • Advanced background in financial modeling, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to manage and analyze large datasets, familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
  • Highly analytical with experience in critical thinking and problem-solving; asks questions and seeks input, is curious with the ability to think creatively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence, a passion for teamwork, and a rigorous drive for results in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • High level of integrity and values, including compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
