Kforce has a client in Hopewell, VA seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decisions.

You will partner with operations and leadership to provide insights, develop models, monitor performance, and drive process improvements while overseeing month-end close and ensuring accurate financial data for the business.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience with cost accounting and industrial accounting.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Formulas).

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and KPIs.
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and profitability analyses.
• Monitor budget-to-actual results and provide variance analyses.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Finance Manager in Hopewell, VA. Position Summary: The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support strategic business decisions. This role partners with operational and executive leadership to provide financial insights, improve processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization
• Develop financial models, business cases, and profitability analyses to support strategic initiatives
• Monitor budget-to-actual results and provide variance analysis and recommendations
• Support month end, quarter end, and year end close activities in partnership with Accounting
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Present financial results and insights to senior leadership
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and long-range financial planning
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes, systems, and reporting
• Support audits and provide requested financial documentation
• Mentor and develop financial analysts and other team members as applicable

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, managing processes independently
• Cost accounting, industrial accounting experience
• SAP experience
• MS Excel - VLOOKUPs Pivot Tables, Formulas

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
