Job summary

Willis Automotive, a family-owned dealer group in Des Moines, IA, is seeking a Finance Manager to drive financing and insurance product sales for new and pre-owned vehicles. The role reports to the F&I Director and requires handling all related paperwork and approvals.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, preferably a college degree in business, finance, or accounting, and prior F&I experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process all state and federal financing paperwork to protect company assets.

• Establish and maintain relationships with finance sources and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate with sales staff to schedule vehicle delivery and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Meet monthly department objectives and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays.

Primary Function:

Under the direction and supervision of the F & I Director, this position is responsible for producing revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance products to customers for pre-owned and new vehicle sales. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in work performed. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete all state and federal paperwork in a legal manner to protect the company assets
• Sells financing opportunities to all customers including; service contracts, appearance protection, GAP insurance, and additional ancillary insurance products.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with finance sources including manufacturer finance companies.
• Prepares and submits finance paperwork to obtain approval from the finance sources(s) on all finance deals.
• Works closely with the sales personnel in scheduling the delivery of customer vehicles.
• Ensures that all paperwork is complete and ready for processing.
• Meets monthly department objectives.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and Saturday's.
• Communicates work accomplishments and activities to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Attends weekly sales meetings

What we need from you:

• High School diploma/GED; college degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
• Previous F & I dealership experience preferred
