Job summary

Willis Automotive, a Des Moines-based automotive group, seeks an energetic F&I professional to drive revenue by selling financing and insurance products for our vehicle sales. The role requires completing legal paperwork, coordinating with finance sources, and maintaining strong customer and dealer relationships.

The position requires strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• College degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• Previous F&I dealership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce revenue by selling finance and insurance products to customers for pre-owned and new vehicle sales.
• Complete all state and federal paperwork in a legal manner to protect company assets.
• Sells financing opportunities including service contracts, appearance protection, GAP insurance, and ancillary products.
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with finance sources including manufacturer finance companies.
• Prepares and submits finance paperwork to obtain approvals from finance sources.
• Coordinates with sales to schedule vehicle delivery and ensure paperwork is ready for processing.
• Meets monthly department objectives and works flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays.
• Communicates achievements to supervisor regularly and attends weekly sales meetings.

Primary Function:

Under the direction and supervision of the F & I Director, this position is responsible for producing revenue for the dealership by selling finance and insurance products to customers for pre-owned and new vehicle sales. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in work performed. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete all state and federal paperwork in a legal manner to protect the company assets
• Sells financing opportunities to all customers including; service contracts, appearance protection, GAP insurance, and additional ancillary insurance products.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with finance sources including manufacturer finance companies.
• Prepares and submits finance paperwork to obtain approval from the finance sources(s) on all finance deals.
• Works closely with the sales personnel in scheduling the delivery of customer vehicles.
• Ensures that all paperwork is complete and ready for processing.
• Meets monthly department objectives.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and Saturday's.
• Communicates work accomplishments and activities to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Attends weekly sales meetings

What we need from you:

• High School diploma/GED; college degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred
• Previous F & I dealership experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills; ability to communicate with a diverse group of people
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong attention to details and ability to follow through
