In support of the Chief Financial Office and the Director of Finance, supports the direction and development ofthe long-term organizational financial strategy and operations for Trinity Health Medical Group. The Manager ofFinance is responsible for oversight of the Senior Financial Analysts. Manager will be responsible fordeveloping, interpreting and implementing complex financial and accounting concepts or techniques to supportfinancial planning and control as well as providing financial business development, analytical services andrecommendations that influence sound business decisions, enable delivery of business objectives and guide longterm business planning choices within West Michigan sites, divisions or at the organizational level.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Broad based experience knowledge of finance, business planning, cost accounting/service lineanalysis and budgeting normally obtained over five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive financialexperience. Strong track record of working successfully with members of the SeniorLeadership Team, operations, management and staff.
Leadership and Management Responsibilities – Manages assigned staff – hiring, training, supervision,evaluation, disciplining and terminations; Ensures that policy is followed, procedures are updated and supports Finance training efforts for the organization.
Manages the work of assigned staff including monitoring staff competencies, hiring of new staff, orientationof new assignments, developing goals and objectives, conducting annual performance appraisal and theutilization of performance resolution process when needed.
Oversees and ensures consistent, efficient, and timely month-end reporting across medical group
Monitors proper reporting for all Central Administration department financials and provides guidance tostaff and recommendations to leadership on allocations.
Provides oversight of proformas for areas such as new practices, transitioning practices, new providers,equipment purchase, new service lines, provider blend/locations, renovations, what if, breakeven, virtualcare, strategic capital requests, etc. Ensures proformas are tracked for prioritization.
