Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Finance Manager to lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and maintain strong internal controls to ensure GAAP/IFRS alignment.

The role requires a bachelor's in finance/accounting, 5+ years of experience, ERP proficiency, and strong Excel skills; a master's is preferred.

  • Understanding of an ERP system.
  • Strong problem solving and a solid understanding of general accounting.
  • Experience with financial modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the month end reporting and analysis process for month end close, quarterly updates, annual profit review, and site reviews.
  • Maintaining a detailed system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing accounting operations including fixed assets, physical inventory, and cycle counts.
  • Issuing timely and complete financial statements.
  • Recommending benchmarks to measure performance of operations.
  • Calculating and reporting financial and operating metrics.
  • Ad hoc reporting, audits, and ICQ support.
  • Managing annual budgets, forecasts, variances, and reporting significant issues to management.
  • Providing financial analyses for capital investments, pricing decisions, and new product development.

Job description

The Finance Manager is responsible for the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of ASCO Aiken reported financial reports and ensure that reported results align with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Leading the month end reporting and analysis process for month end close, quarterly POR updates, annual profit review, financial review, and ongoing site reviews.
  • Maintaining a detailed system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Overseeing the business accounting operations including fixed assets management, physical inventory and cycle count inventory.
  • Issuing timely and complete financial statements.
  • Recommending benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Ad hoc reporting, support, audits, ICQ
  • Managing the production of the annual budget, forecasts, and calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
  • Providing financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions and new product development.

  • Bachelors degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • 5+ Years of progressive responsible experience
  • Understanding for Microsoft programs such as Excel, MS Team and Outlook.
  • Understanding of an ERP System
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Strong Understanding of general accounting
  • Financial Modeling
