  • Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and prepares schedules for management reviews.
  • Performs analyses of deviations from budget/forecast and presents findings to leadership.
  • Analyzes trends in revenue, cost of sales, Opex, and working capital.
  • Maintains internal controls over financial reporting and ensures accuracy of results.
  • Collaborates with Global Financial Services pillars to align on financial objectives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with Emerson's Branson Ultrasonic business based in Novi, MI! Reporting to the Branson Americas Controller, the Branson Americas Finance Supervisor is a key member of Branson's finance organization, supporting the budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial closing, and strategic business analysis activities for the Branson Americas organization. The role assists in the development, analysis, and reporting of all financial information and documentation for periodic closing and planning activities. The role is also responsible for managing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal Emerson policies and procedures.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Manages the planning and reporting processes for all budgets, short-term forecasts, and long-range plans for the Branson Americas organization
  • Supports the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes as well as the development, analysis, and reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial requirements for the Branson Americas organization
  • Prepares comprehensive and insightful numerical and graphical analyses of comparative results to budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, volume / price / mix, operating expenses, trade working capital, and capital expenditures
  • Manages and maintains internal controls over financial reporting to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results Prepares presentation materials and required schedules for regular management reviews
  • Build collaborative relationships with the Global Financial Services (GFS) pillars. Strong coordination with the GFS organization is required to obtain financial objectives.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting / finance experience commensurate with the level of this position
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements
  • Outstanding organization skills and focused attention to detail with high standards for quality and accuracy of work product
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and present succinctly to management
  • Collaborative demeanor with a track record of forming relationships and partnering across functions
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimal travel to Mexico or Costa Rica may be required
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship name and in the future. We will not be providing sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting / finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • CPA qualification / MBA
  • Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) a plus
