Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Finance Manager to join our El Segundo team. This on-site role focuses on month-end close, reporting, and financial operations within a growing multi-site healthcare-focused organization.

Collaborate with leadership to drive operational excellence and scalable finance capabilities. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in accounting/finance, strong Excel and ERP experience (Sage Intacct preferred), and a track record of improving processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4-7 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, GL accounting, and reconciliations.
• Experience in multi-location, services-based, or healthcare environments.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
• Experience working with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Review balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Partner with Accounting Manager for timely financial reporting.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end close activities.
• Prepare budget vs actuals and variance explanations.
• Support management reporting for operations and leadership.
• Assist with forecasting and FP&A support.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision-making.
• Improve accounting workflows and controls.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Assist with system enhancements and automation initiatives.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Close

• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Review balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Partner with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Assist with quarterly and year-end close activities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and analyze budget vs. actuals, trends, and variance explanations
• Support management reporting for operations and leadership
• Assist with forecasting and financial modeling in partnership with FP&A
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support decision‑making

Process Improvement & Controls

• Assist in improving accounting workflows, documentation, and controls
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
• Help ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Assist with system enhancements and process automation initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with operations, payroll, and HR on financial matters
• Work closely with the Accounting Manager on AP, expense management, and reconciliations
• Support onboarding of new clinics or acquisitions from a finance perspective

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4-7 years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close, GL accounting, and reconciliations
• Experience in multi-location, services-based, or healthcare environments
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site services experience
• Experience working in a PE-backed or high-growth environment
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A support
• Experience supporting audits or financial reviewsPrior experience working alongside Controllers or Finance Directors
