Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and reports on changes in financial position.
• Develop, coordinate, and lead the annual budget process, including the review and analysis of budget proposals and financial planning.
• Analyze company\'s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, and pension funds and investments.
• Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role with a proven track record of success (preferably in the health care space)
• Comprehensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
