Forvis Mazars US Executive Search Practice is seeking a Finance Manager to join our Cincinnati-area team. This high-visibility role partners with leadership and operations to drive financial performance, strengthen reporting, and provide clear visibility into project and business results.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives, while supporting monthly reporting and ensuring data integrity for job-cost systems.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of finance, accounting, or related experience.
• Construction or project-based industry experience preferred.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering skills.
• MBA is a plus.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsabilidades

• Lead annual budgeting and financial planning in partnership with leadership.
• Prepare ongoing forecasts and projections of company and team performance.
• Manage SG&A and overhead expenses while supporting cost-control initiatives.
• Support monthly financial reporting, including gathering and validating financial information.
• Provide analysis around project performance, labor efficiency, job costs, and estimating history.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of job-cost data.
• Oversee financial reporting and technology systems used to collect and communicate business information.
• Partner with operational teams to proactively identify and mitigate project and business risks.
• Support cash management, collections, vendor payments, and overall cash positioning.

About the Opportunity

A high-growth company in the construction industry is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Cincinnati-area team. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with leadership and operations to drive financial performance, strengthen reporting and forecasting, and provide greater visibility into project and business results.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in finance and accounting along with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Experience within construction, project-based businesses, or a related industry is highly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a key financial partner and advisor to leadership and operations

• Support cash management, collections, vendor payments, and overall cash positioning
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency, operational costs, and administrative processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant finance, accounting, or related experience
• Construction or project-based industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business-partnering skills
• MBA is a plus
• Ability to travel occasionally
